It just so happens that I really like the brand and shop it frequently. While there are specific things I am willing to invest in, namely shoes, handbags and staple wardrobe items, I am a huge believer in mixing quality with less expensive pieces. If you carry yourself with confidence — you can pretty much pull this off and no one will be the wiser. I’ve been known to rock a pair of suede sandals from Target and get compliments from the snobbiest of brand whores.

When purchasing trends, I love buying from stores that hit the mark — not my wallet. Styles and trends come in — and then they go. The amount of wear I’m getting out of any one thing is usually minimal. I have purchased less expensive designs and been completely surprised by the quality — while other times totally disappointed. Either way, I’m always willing to give it a try.

Which leads me back to Zara. I mentioned in my “The Art of Online Shopping” blog that I prefer the online Zara to the retail store. Mainly because I get overwhelmed and disgusted when the stores are disorganized. My orders from Zara’s website always arrive beautifully packaged. And of course, whatever I don’t like — I can return in the store.
